Qualifications — Please Review Before Applying:

We are seeking experienced culinary professionals with a passion for quality food and hospitality.

Minimum two years of professional culinary experience preferred
Experience preparing multiple menu items in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Experience in restaurants, hotels, resorts, country clubs, airline lounges, catering, banquets, scratch kitchens, or other premium hospitality environments preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation, professional cooking techniques, food quality, and kitchen equipment
Ability to accurately follow recipes, production sheets, portioning, and presentation standards
Commitment to freshness, flavor, consistency, quality, and presentation
Ability to work with urgency without sacrificing food quality
Strong attention to detail and pride in the food being served
Dependable, professional, organized, and team-oriented
Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Must successfully complete required TSA background investigation and airport badging requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

What You'll Do:

Deliver Quality Through Every Plate:

Prepare fresh breakfast, lunch, dinner, and rotating menu selections according to established recipes and standards.
Cook and prepare hot and cold foods using professional culinary techniques.
Deliver consistent flavor, freshness, temperature, portioning, and presentation.
Inspect food before it reaches the service area and take action when something does not meet quality standards.
Maintain food quality throughout service, not just during initial preparation.
Prepare ingredients through proper washing, cutting, seasoning, portioning, and cooking techniques.
Support menu changes, seasonal offerings, and chef-inspired selections.
Minimize waste while maintaining appropriate production levels and food availability.

Create a Hospitality Experience:

Although this position works primarily behind the scenes, your impact is experienced by every guest who enjoys the food you prepare.

You will:

Approach cooking with a guest-first mindset.
Understand that presentation matters in a premium lounge environment.
Partner with culinary, service, and lounge teams to provide a seamless experience.
Respond quickly when food needs to be replenished while maintaining quality standards.
Help ensure guests can consistently expect fresh, appealing, well-prepared food.
Represent Sodexo Live! through professionalism, teamwork, and pride in your work.

Kitchen & Food Safety Standards:

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout the shift.
Follow established food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
Practice proper food handling, temperature control, and allergen awareness.
Properly rotate, label, store, and protect food products.
Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
Assist with receiving, stocking, inventory rotation, and food storage as needed.
Immediately communicate food quality, safety, or operational concerns.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to:

Stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift up to 40 pounds.
Bend, reach, push, pull, and carry food, equipment, and supplies.
Safely work around hot equipment and in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.
