Sodexo Live! is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Cook to join the team supporting the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at PHX Airport.
This is more than a kitchen position—it's an opportunity to create memorable dining experiences for travelers in a premium lounge environment known for exceptional hospitality, elevated cuisine, and world-class service.
As a Senior Cook, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality culinary offerings while supporting daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven setting. We are looking for culinary professionals who take pride in their craft, lead by example, and are committed to excellence in every dish they prepare.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare, cook, plate, and present a variety of hot and cold menu items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and specialty service periods.
- Execute recipes and cooking techniques with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
- Maintain high culinary standards, food quality, and presentation at all times.
- Assist with menu execution, batch cooking, food preparation, and inventory support.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Support kitchen leadership by assisting and mentoring other culinary team members.
- Monitor production levels, food quality, and portion standards to ensure operational excellence.
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and HACCP procedures accurately.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, inventory management, and organization of kitchen supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready kitchen environment.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of culinary, restaurant, hotel, or high-volume food service experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
- Advanced knife skills and experience with a variety of cooking methods and techniques.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in upscale dining, hospitality, hotels, airport lounges, resorts, or premium service environments preferred.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to support and mentor fellow team members.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
Requirements:
- Ability to pass a TSA background check and drug screening.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain airport badging credentials.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Open and flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies as needed.
